Update on the FBB Light the Night walk
I received an update from the Foundation Beyond Belief today about their Light the Night walk, so I’m passing the information along to you:
Hello again blogger!
Over here at the Foundation Beyond Belief, we are gearing up for registration week for our Light the Night walk and we are asking for your help in spreading the word. Here is the information we would be so grateful if you could share:
To further incentivize people to join local teams there are Registration Week promotions going on for the week of July 7th through the 14th. We won’t make our goal of raising $1,000,000 unless we get a lot more walkers; we need more people to join our teams! If everyone rallies together, we can do this.
An anonymous donor will give $1 to LLS for every new walker registered during Registration Week. If we meet our goal of 5,000 new walkers, LLS will receive $10,000, thanks to matching by the Stiefel family!
In addition, every person who is signed up for a team by July 14th will have their name put in for a drawing to win a Kindle Fire. This includes people who have already registered for a team prior to Registration Week.
There is also a promotion just for team captains! The team captain who gets the most number of new members signed up to their team during the Registration Week a $50 American Express gift card!
Thank you so much for your continued support of the FBB and our Light the Night Walk!

Hello, I stumbled upon your blog when searching for atheist charities. I like it! Very informative! ;)
As I browsed around some more, I realized you were still working for your church (an understandable yet frustrating situation, I’m sure!). I looked around at your links and was surprised that I didn’t see The Clergy Project mentioned anywhere. I looked around some more and was unable to find any contact info, so I am responding on your most recent post (sorry!).
Have you ever heard of The Clergy Project? I’m not sure if your position at the church counts under the title of clergy, but it might be a source of inspiration and support for you at the very least. I am providing the link below, but if it doesn’t work for some reason, you can always just google “The Clergy Project.”
I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors! You’re never as alone as you might initially think.

Glad you found my blog and some information useful to you on this important issue! I have, indeed, heard of The Clergy Project and have posted about it in the past:

As for contacting me, this is fine. Also, I’ve got a twitter, @asecretatheist, and my e-mail is thesecretatheist at hotmail. (I’ve got it on the main page, but since I mask it to avoid spam it isn’t really obvious when scanning.)
(I’m not a frequent twit, but I do get e-mails when anyone mentions me or replies to a tweet of mine.)
Feel free to contact me at any time!
